Can't make one of our FAMOUS FESTIVALS? (Don’t worry, we'll find you another...)

Summer is always festival central in Acadie and there is no doubt that living near the water has inspired celebrations around the culture of the region. The fishing industry takes centre stage at the New Brunswick Fisheries and Aquaculture Festival and at the Shediac Lobster Festival, where people attend year after year to enjoy the fruits of the sea. You can learn the art of sea-glass at the Bathurst Hospitality Days or you can cheer on rowers crossing Chaleur Bay at the Festival des Rameurs (Rower’s Festival).

Help Acadians celebrate their rich heritage by joining a lively tintamarre (noisy parade) at the Festival Acadien de Caraquet, the biggest of its kind in the Maritimes. Famous traditional music from the masters can be heard at the Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival. If you like a challenge, you can join in the fun at the Peat Moss Festival in Lamèque celebrating the community’s second largest industry.

The problem isn't whether there will be something to suit your tastes, but how to fit them all in during your stay! See below for more festivals happening on the Acadian Coastal Drive region.
