Point in any direction… (we'll show you the way to a FUN-FILLED DESTINATION)

Chaleur Bay and the Acadian Peninsula beckon with lots of unique things to do in this drop-dead gorgeous area. Kitesurfing, kayaking, whale spotting, and beachcombing for souvenirs will keep you busy for starters. Make Campbellton or Bathurst your base to explore the bay. Kouchibouguac National Park of Canada with the warmest salt waters north of Virginia offers fantastic eco-educational programs for young and old. Two provincial parks are geared for family-friendly adventure. Bond with nature at the Ecological Park of the Acadian Peninsula in Lamèque or check out the 100 marine species at the New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Centre in Shippagan. Grab your binoculars for some of the best birdwatching in North America on Miscou Island. Miramichi, mid-way on the drive, is a legendary salmon fishing mecca. And Moncton and Dieppe offer a cosmopolitan urban experience close to the beaches of the Shediac region. Wherever you head, you can't go wrong!

    Natural Wonders

When it comes to idyllic paradises that feature Mother Nature's best work, we have an embarrassment of riches. (Not that Acadians are shy about bragging!) Chaleur Bay and Irving Eco-Centre, La Dune de Bouctouche spring to mind.

    Beaches

Our Acadian coastal beaches are known for the warmth of their salt waters… all the way up to a balmy 30°C (86°F). (Considerably cosier than the teeth-clattering temperatures at our neighbours' beaches.)

    Towns & Villages

You don't have to hit big cities to find interesting people and places. It's always fun to get off the beaten path and explore. Just follow your nose and see where it takes you! Or stop anyone on the street and ask where locals go to shop, eat or have fun.

    Coastal Islands

The Isles of Acadie will dazzle you with their unspoiled natural grace and little surprises. Like the sounds of Baroque music floating on the seabreezes on Lamèque Island. And the historical site of an unusual octagonal lighthouse on Miscou Island.
