The more you know, the more you understand what MAKES US TICK

In a land of forests, the Kedgwick Forestry Village and Museum is a must. This "Best of Appalachian" attraction gives you a closer look at what life was like in the lumber camps in the 1930s. Get a taste of what day-to-day work and play was like for our lumberjacks. (You'll even get a taste of their hearty meals.) It's a fascinating glimpse at an industry that helped us grow into who we are today.

    Art Galleries

Stop off at the Galerie Restigouche to get a wonderful sense of the rich cultural and creative life in this area. Attend events, view exhibits or even go hand's on and take a workshop.

    Bridges

New Brunswick and covered bridges go together like, well, like a horse and carriage. We have a lovely little covered bridge, officially known as Odellach River No. 2 (Tomlinson Mill), that's perfect for family photos. Built in 1918, it's 18 m (60 ft.) in length.

Many of the province's historic lighthouses are still standing proud but are no longer in service, so we're delighted to inform you that you'll find a real, live-working lighthouse in our neck of the woods (or neck of the coast, as it were!).

    Sugar Camps

If you go out into the Appalachian Mountains in the spring and listen very, very carefully, you'll swear you can hear the sound of sap running. Come celebrate with us as the short but sweet maple syrup season gets into full swing.
