If you haven't tried a 4-wheel all-terrain vehicle, this is a good place to experience it. With kilometres of terrain to try, why not? If you're already a huge fan, you'll love the choice of trailside accommodations available.
Rather than a long list about all the places you can bike, like Mount Carleton and Sugarloaf provincial parks and the Restigouche Trail, perhaps we should just tell you where you CAN'T bike. (It's a very short list.)
Do you have a running tally of all the birds you've identified since you started birdwatching? Well, here's a tip: bring paper, you're going to be adding to it. Big time.
The Appalachian Range Route is 95% mountainous but happily we also have our little piece of the bay, spectacular Chaleur Bay, at the end of the range. Dalhousie Regional Marina will help you get out on the water.
If you're here to experience the joys of our great outdoors, why not camp our extraordinary provincial parks? There's no way to get closer to nature than to sleep under stars, tell ghost stories around a crackling fire and wake up to joyous birdsong.
Aboriginal people had the right idea about the best way to get around in the wilderness. Canoes and kayaks haven't changed that much. Arpin Canoe is very experienced at taking out canoers on a Day Adventure. Go for it!
Even if you don't fish, you'll want to see the Restigouche and Tobique Rivers to see what all the fuss is about. People who could go anywhere in the world to fish come here for good reasons. Our numerous fishing outfitters can get your adventure started.
Grab your GPS and your sense of adventure for the ultimate treasure hunt. See how many of New Brunswick’s 5,000 hidden caches you can find . . . let the adventure begin!
We don't let the Appalachians get in the way of building golf courses! (We have people here who live to tee off too!) There are no less than three courses to keep your game in tip-top shape while you travel.
If you've heard other hunters raving about their trips to the Appalachian Range Route, and secretly thought they must be exaggerating, we're here to tell you, they're not! You could bring home a real trophy catch.
Our heavy snowfalls are the magical ingredient to our fun-tastic winter ski seasons. Head for Sugarloaf Provincial Park and ski our 12 alpine trails, terrain park or 22 km (14 mi.) of cross-country trails til you drop! (Then enjoy our lively après ski scene!)
If only all winter driving were this much fun. Laugh at snowdrifts, roar along the open trail, and look forward to reports of impending snowstorms. We have more snow than anywhere in the province and an extraordinary trail network.
On a hot day, you're going to want a swim. We have two great options: Inch Arran Park which has a sandy beach and warm salt waters, or Tide Head Beach with a sandy beach and great freshwater swimming. (Try both…)
Whether you're a hiker or a walker or a bit of both, the trails on this scenic drive will provide you with the perfect backdrop for some outdoor fun.
