You can't go wrong when you stick to "Best of Fundy" attractions. Places such as the renowned New Brunswick Museum, Cape Enrage, Cherry Brook Zoo and Vanished Kingdom Park and the Huntsman Marine Science Centre Aquarium/Museum are proven crowd pleasers.
You'll find both supervised and unsupervised swimming beaches on the Fundy Coastal Drive. At The Hopewell Rocks, as well as Grand Manan, Campobello and Deer islands, there are discovery beaches where kids love to beachcomb. New River Beach Provincial Park also offers tidal pools where starfish hang out and Cape Enrage has two discovery beaches worth exploring.
Tell the kids if they eat all their chocolate at the Chocolate Fest in St. Stephen, you'll treat them to the joys of seafood at the Atlantic Seafood Festival! Either way, you all win by taking in these incredibly delicious events.
Three provincial, one national and one international park will keep your family totally occupied and amazed as you travel the highways and byways of this coastal wonderland. Fundy National Park of Canada is one of the most beloved destinations in the Maritimes. Experience them all!
You're driving along... and all of a sudden you see something that makes you want to put on the brakes, get a photo and find out more! Here's a heads-up. In Dorchester, you’ll come across the World’s Largest Semi-Palmated Sandpiper sculpture. And, don’t be alarmed, but there’s moose on the loose in Saint John… (statues, that is!).
Simon and Garfunkel had it right: "It's all happening at the zoo." If it has fur, scales, fins, tentacles or hoofs, you'll probably find it at one of our two zoos or popular aquarium.
