    Beaches

MEET FRIENDLY MARINE LIFE (or take the plunge and join them)

The Fundy Coastal Drive is blessed with a variety of beaches that offer shoreline adventures to every traveller. There are saltwater and freshwater swimming beaches as well as discovery beaches that attract avid rock hounds, shell and fossil collectors and lovers of sea creatures. New River Beach Provincial Park is a "Best of Fundy" attraction with beaches and marine life in abundance and spectacular evidence of the natural formations along the Bay of Fundy. Enjoy nature’s panorama of offshore islands, fishing boats and wildlife.

For those looking for a good place to swim, Katy’s Cove is the preferred saltwater destination in St. Andrews. The beach lies well within the town limits just behind the famous Fairmont Algonquin Resort. Explore the Bay of Fundy's diverse inter-tidal zone at Indian Point Beach, an ever-changing landscape that nourishes a rich diversity of marine creatures and sea life. You'll discover fine sand and finer swimming at Mispec Beach, alongside a rocky coastline that provides many areas for climbing and exploring the hiking trails. For freshwater swimming, head to St. George's Canal Beach, Saint John's Dominion Park and Lakewood Reservoir, Moncton's Kiwanis Centennial Beach or Sackville's Lillas Fawcett Park/Silver Lake.

    Freshwater Beaches

Freshwater beaches along the Fundy Coastal Drive are found in both natural and urban settings. Discover perfect spots for swimming, boating and fishing in pristine waters. Playgrounds and sports facilities guarantee family fun all along the water's edge.
