“Do” Winter in our Parks
Seasons may come and go but the fun is always constant at Sugarloaf Provincial Park, and at Fundy and Kouchibouguac National parks of Canada. You’ll find everything from alpine and cross-country skiing to snowboarding, snowshoeing and tobogganing to major groomed snowmobile trail systems.
Snowmobile Heaven
New Brunswick is the snowiest province on the East Coast of Canada, and along with lots of the white stuff comes over 1,000 km (622 mi.) of groomed trails and a Northern Odyssey that you will talk about for years to come. Snowmobiling doesn't get any better!
Ski our Slopes or Trails (or go Tubing)
Get your adrenaline pumping as you swoosh down New Brunswick’s highest vertical at Crabbe Mountain or experience one of our many other equally exciting ski hills. Cross-country more your style? Our network of scenic trails is waiting! Mont Farlagne offers 2 trails with a mechanical lift for tubbing. Helmets are mandatory for everyone. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day. The Ski 'N Ride snowguide lets you know how much snow to expect on our hills before you get there.
New Brunswickers Love Hockey…
… and it shows! Every year, Plaster Rock plays host to over 100 pick-up teams from across North America and Europe to compete in the “World Pond Hockey Championship”. You’ll also want to check out the schedules for our Major Junior, Men’s University and Women’s University leagues, all of which produce a great calibre of hockey.
World-Class Kitesurfing
Shippagan and the Acadian Islands are the fastest growing kiteboarding destinations on the continent and have been named among the best places in the world to kitesurf by Planchemag (a magazine published in France). To learn more about this exciting sport which is practiced in the winter as well as the summer, visit Club Wind & Kite or call 1-888-318-3330. Reservations required.
Fun Doesn’t Stop at Outdoor Adventure!
There are so many Attractions to experience you’ll never want to go home. From the best shopping, art galleries, and theatres, our Cities will find you running out of time long before you run out of fun. Choose from numerous winter fun festivals that are sure to please the entire family.
