Let your imagination run wild as the beach bustles with sand sculptors of all ages and feel the excitement as contestants race to build their finest sand creations. Don’t miss out on this exciting summer event and join the fun at the annual Sand Sculpture Competition taking place on July 19 (with a rain date of July 20) at the New River Beach Provincial Park.
Registration for the competition begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. Participants begin building their sand castles around 8:30 a.m. with judging commencing at 3 p.m. By 4:30 p.m. the winners will be announced.
The Sand Sculpture Competition promises to be an exciting day of family fun. Whether you’re covered in sand or your throat is hoarse from cheering on your favourite sand artist, this event is sure to delight your inner child.
