We can't say enough about the warm and wonderful people who call the Miramichi River Route home. (But don't worry, they can certainly speak for themselves!) Maybe it's their pioneering past. The legacy of isolated lumber camps and evenings spent around campfires at fishing lodges. Or simply the Irish love of a good yarn. Whatever the reason, folks here really know how to spin a tale, dance up a storm and party long into the night. Their good humour is infectious. They also know how to build ships, find the best fishing pools and create some mighty impressive festivals. Throughout their daily lives their connection to the river is in many ways spiritual and they are always happy to share the experience. Perhaps it is the reason they are eternally optimistic. When you ask a Miramichier, "How's it goin'?" They'll always answer, "The very best!"
