Explore Mi'kmaq traditions at Metepenagiag Heritage Park. Consider the amazing life of this fish at the Atlantic Salmon Museum. Get a glimpse into our proud lumbering past at the Central New Brunswick Woodmen's Museum. And kick back at Ritchie Wharf Park.
Snap a photo of the oldest covered bridge in the province. Hear ancient Mi'kmaq drumming. Listen to ghost tales that frightened lumberjacks (if you dare!) and step back into a Victorian parlour. Our museums and heritage sites shake the dust off history.
Our Festivals move into high gear come summer. It kicks off with a fabulous Rock 'N' Roll Festival, then Canada's Irish Festival on the Miramichi. The fun never stops at The Agricultural Exhibition and the Folksong Festival.
Can you think of a better place to dig into a delicious Atlantic salmon with a colourful side of hand-picked fiddleheads than in a restaurant along the famous Miramichi River? (We didn't think so!)
Reel in the biggest fish you're ever likely to catch if you can. They don't call the Atlantic salmon the King of Fish for nothing. Canoe or kayak to get a glimpse of the Miramichi River's different moods. Or zoom along the trails on your ATV in this wild wonderland.
Our Festivals are very family friendly. The Agricultural Fair, Skate Park and the Whooper Train are also big kid magnets. But the kids will love Metepenagiag Heritage Park, the Atlantic Salmon Museum and French Fort Cove Nature tours, too.
