Atlantic Salmon Museum

Explore the virtual world of the Atlantic salmon, king of sport fish, here on the banks of the beautiful Miramichi River. At the Atlantic Salmon Museum you’ll learn all about this important resource and this amazing fish.

This attraction houses an extensive collection of salmon-related artifacts as well as the Salmon Hall of Fame. Examples of artificial flies, fishing rods made out of wood, bamboo and carbon filament can all be found at the museum. Accessories and clothing worn by fishermen throughout the years are also on display.

The Miramichi River is a favourite subject for both local and world-renowned artists and the Print Gallery offers signed, numbered prints for sale.

Our educational program for children teaches them the art of casting, fly-tying and fishing. Support our mission statement by adopting a salmon for $15.00.
