Atlantic Salmon Museum
Centrally located between the cities of Fredericton and Miramichi with scenic views of the beautiful Miramichi River, Atlantic Salmon Museum provides an in-depth look at the Atlantic salmon and its importance to this part of New Brunswick and the world beyond.
In addition to our displays of over 3,000 artifacts, we offer a well-stocked gift shop featuring ice cream during the summer months and locally-made crafts, a small aquarium and well-cared for grounds with plenty of picnic tables.
Food and refreshments can be offered upon prior request, from coffee and homemade doughnuts to a full-course meal, all served in our beautiful River Room. A special component of the Museum is the Hall of Fame, which is dedicated to the many anglers, fly-tyers, conservationists, outfitters, and educators whose lives have been closely intertwined with those of the Atlantic salmon.
The ‘Come Play on Our River’ summer camp for children (ages 6-12) makes the Museum an exciting place to be during the summer months. While our peak season is between June-September, we are open by appointment whenever you'd like to drop by.
