This beach provides a combination of stunning views and up-close wildlife observation. From the beach you have a stunning view of the 13-km (8-mi.) expanse of the Confederation Bridge and the historic lighthouse.
As the tide goes out, the amazing world of rockweeds and sea creatures is revealed, including hermit crabs, starfish, and periwinkles. An ever-changing variety of birds may be observed along the shore from tiny shorebirds to majestic osprey. Join us for an interpretive walk to discover more about life on the beach.
Due to strong currents, swimming is not recommended, and as the beach is located within a National Wildlife area, no harvesting or collecting of natural objects is permitted.
