Take a walk on the ocean floor with one of our knowledgeable interpreters and you’ll be amazed to find the diversity of edible items beneath the Bay of Fundy! It’s not your usual fare. Your first course will be found in the tall and beautiful grass of the salt marsh where at least two types of sea grass are delectable. Follow your interpreter out on the beach at Herring Cove where you’ll find many species of seaweed and sample some of the more unusual edible ones. Finally, although they are not dessert like, they are sweet, so the last part of your tour will have you looking for different snail species. Fire up the campfire to cook some periwinkles, sample some waved whelks and savour your new found knowledge.
