Welcome to the beauty and splendour of the Grand Falls Gorge! This natural resource adorning Grand Falls/Grand-Sault has a unique attractiveness which can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Admire the most impressive waterfall in New Brunswick, right in the centre of town!
Explore by foot to see fantastic views from various lookouts on walking trails, or take a guided pontoon boat tour for a different perspective. For a closer view of this spectacular sight, climb down 250 steps from the Centre La Rochelle to visit the “Wells in the Rocks.” You can also explore the gorge by kayaking its waters or swooshing over it on a zipline! Prepare yourself for a thrill on a zipline adventure that offers a one-of-a-kind way to see this natural wonder.
The excitement doesn’t end there… you can also deepell your way down a 40-metre (135-foot) rock wall into the gorge. This descent into the abyss edges you further down the rock, face down, and adds a new jolt of excitement and another view of the unbelievable scenery below.
It took millions of years for the powerful cascade of water to carve the majestic St. John River bed from the rock and form the phenomenal Grand Falls Gorge, which stretches over 1.5 km (1 mi.), encircling half of the town and boasting walls up to 70 m (230 ft.) high.
Interpretive display, gift shop, canteen and a small campground located at the top of the cliff, where you can hear the roar of the waterfalls.
The largest waterfall in New Brunswick has carved out a unique natural feature. Explore with hiking, boating, ziplining and deepelling adventures!
