Step back into the soldiering life of the early 1800s and watch little soldiers come to life. The period uniforms and historic buildings transport you back to a time when more than 200 British troops were stationed in the Fredericton area. Children dress in the eye-catching red tunic of the British regiment and ‘re-enactors’ guide their guests through the Guard House military office, prisoner cell block and restored Barracks room. The drill sergeant and his soldiers teach the children parade drills and marches while you look on. The experience ends with a parade and your cheers encourage the pageantry. A souvenir photo shows youngsters in red uniforms with wide grins, confirming this is some of the best summer fun in history.
