The Hôtel Château Albert, on the site of the Village Historique Acadien, offers a journey back in time in the charm and quiet of an early 20th century-style hotel. The warm atmosphere and elegant period decor is pleasing to the eye without sacrificing any of the comfort our guests expect. The experience begins in the parking lot, where a chauffeur driving a 1923 Ford model picks up guests and luggage.
Your evening could begin with a musical dinner in the great dining hall with talented and cheerful artists. After a delicious meal in such good company, visit the second floor terrace for a magnificent view of the Village Historique Acadien. Enjoy a restful and peaceful night and wake early to explore the bustling historic site.
A pleasant walk brings you through centuries as you’re greeted along the way by interpreters recreating the lifestyle of their ancestors. Situated in about 60 historical buildings, they illustrate the daily chores and trades of yesteryear, from the late 18th to the mid-20th centuries. Most of the buildings are original structures which have been reinstalled on the site. Take a full day to explore the village, stopping at one of the 2 post houses for a snack, and perhaps at the Table des Ancêtres inn for an old-fashioned meal.
Don’t be surprised if, upon leaving, you only hope to be back …
