Whales plus sails! From the historic shores of St. Andrews, across the blue-green waters of the Bay of Fundy, beyond where the Old Sow Whirlpool churns and the East Quoddy Head Lighthouse shines, live some of the last great wonders of the world. We have feeding whales, playful porpoise, soaring eagles, sunning seals, occasional puffins and more. Our success in bringing about meaningful encounters with whales and people exceeds 95%.
Sit back and relax aboard Canada’s most beautiful passenger vessel while watching whales and listening to a wildlife and historical interpretation by your ever-attentive and entertaining crew. Walk about the deck and explore the cabins below. Our adventure is appropriate for all ages with plentiful children’s activities such as hauling sails, colouring, pirate costumes, face painting and also includes a touch tank with starfish and crabs. Honourary certificates endorsed by Captain T-Roy and engineer Robbie Red Pants for those who can steer a straight course!
The Jolly Breeze was finely crafted in New Zealand in 1989 as a private, ocean-sailing yacht with fine woodwork, gleaming bronze and flowing lines. She has since sailed around the world, being operated as a sightseeing vessel in St. Andrews since 1995. Jolly Breeze is fully Coast-Guard approved for up to 47 passengers and equipped with a new low-emissions engine and modern safety systems.
We offer a complimentary breakfast on our 9 a.m. tour. Joanne’s famous, homemade Tall-Ship soup is featured on the midday and afternoon tours. The Jolly Breeze enjoys a heated cabin and snack bar, as well as a fully licensed bar. There is a washroom and baby-change room. Comfortable seating and an unobstructed view in every direction – 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
