Talent and humour are the order of the day at L’Acadie des terres et forêts en fête! The show celebrates 400 years of Acadian history through song, dance and theatre. L’Acadie des terres et forêts en fête, which has been celebrating the region for nearly 10 years now, has been designated the ambassador show for the next World Acadian Congress, slated to take place in the region in 2014.
On stage, about 30 talented young singers, dancers, actors and musicians give a very colourful performance. Let the fascinating characters transport you through their adventures to discover the rich and wonderful history of New Brunswick’s Madawaska region, Quebec’s Temiscouata area, and Maine’s Aroostook County. Together, all 3 form what is known as l’Acadie des terres et des forêts, or “Acadia of the Lands and Forests.” Each year, the show is transformed with the appearance of new characters and the creation of new scenes and settings.
The show is presented on the enchanting site of de la République Provincial Park. The theatre is covered, so performances run smoothly even if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
L’Acadie des terres et forêts en fête is a must-see during the summer. Whether you attend with your family or with friends, you’ll have a memorable evening and will be impressed by the incredible talent of the region’s up-and-coming artists!
