Town of Quispamsis

Quispamsis is an active community where recreational opportunities exist everywhere you go. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely pace or something a little more lively, it’s a great place for you and your family to energize.

Make a splash at the junior Olympic-size outdoor pool at the qplex. Families of all ages will keep busy with the 2 waterslides, vortex, and spray features. Children will have just as much fun at the playground next door. Walking and biking enthusiasts will enjoy Quispamsis Recreation Trails, made up of 2 interconnecting trails: Matthews Brook and Saunders Brook. The wooded trails are approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) in length and can be accessed near the qplex. Bring your four-legged friend along to get some exercise at the nearby off-leash dog park.

Take a stroll through the Arts & Culture Park to enjoy breathtaking gardens and the many weekly activities. From June to September, the park hosts a free summer music and movie series: Music Wednesdays, Movies for Grown Ups Thursdays, and Family Flicks on Fridays. Free Wi-Fi is available in the park.

Some of the most picturesque waterways in Eastern Canada are readily accessible from the area. Sailing enthusiasts can often be seen navigating the majestic Kennebecasis River, while the meandering Hammond River system is a local favourite for kayaking and canoeing. Pack a picnic and take in the panoramic views of the Kennebecasis River at Meenan’s Cove Beach, which has lifeguards on duty, changing rooms, a boat launch, ball field and beach volleyball courts.
