A mini-cruise across the river gives you a great view and a chance to stretch your legs (ALL FOR A SONG!)
The province operates eight cable ferries that take you and your car across the calm waters of the Lower Passage. These charming interludes range from five to twenty minutes and have been part of the River Valley experience for centuries. You can take them to get where you're going or simply to enjoy the breeze and see the river from another perspective. (We suspect some people take them just for fun!)
Most run year round, although a few are seasonal. You'll find ferries in Gagetown, Belleisle Bay, Summerville, Grand Bay-Westfield, Bayswater, Evandale and Quispamsis (R.G.L. Fairweather/Gondola Point and William Pitt/Gondola Point Ferry).
