    Natural Wonders

You don't have to look far to discover our biggest Natural Wonder. (IT'S 400 km LONG!)

The St. John River is the ribbon that ties our River Valley Scenic Drive together. Enjoy its many moods. It roars with thundering waterfalls and through a towering gorge before settling into a broad, life-giving flow along New Brunswick's peaceful agricultural heartland. And finally, the lazy lower river that parts for tiny islands and scenic trails until it endures a last wild battle against the Fundy tides. Be sure to visit the Grand Falls Gorge to see the St. John at its most amazing. You can take a sunset cruise to see it in a most magical mood. And take a ferry ride to the idyllic Kingston Peninsula in the Lower River Passage to reflect on its quiet side. Linger on the river and discover some of its age-old secrets as you explore the valley it has helped to shape.

    Rivers

The St. John River is our biggest and most famous river. But it's close to two equally significant rivers that are part of the Canadian Heritage Rivers system - the Upper Restigouche and the St. Croix, both rich in history and recreational opportunities.
