Escape the concrete and steel for the green, leafy forest within Fundy National Park. Here you can immerse yourself in nature as you discover the bounty of the forest. Your Parks Canada interpreter helps you discover wild-food plants like fiddleheads and berries as well as the lesser-known edibles like wild sarsaparilla and blue bead lily. Your explorations take you to the base of a long flight of stairs where you find yourself in a steep-walled river valley. This lush floodplain is the home of the 'disappearing stream' and if you're lucky, you might see it. All this adventure works up an appetite, so you'll be ready for a wild-food snack with soft biscuits, wild fruit juice and Labrador tea.
