New Brunswick Day 2019

Monday, August 5 is New Brunswick Day, an opportunity to celebrate New Brunswick’s achievements, history and culture as New Brunswickers enjoy a long weekend during the best days of summer.

The community of Pokemouche, along the Acadian Coast, will be the site of this year’s official celebrations. Festivities will take place between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at La-Rivière School (11291, Route 11) with the official opening scheduled for 11 a.m. Celebrate the day enjoying music from popular New Brunswick artists, food, family activities and a variety of kiosks.

New Brunswick Day has been celebrated since 1976 and an official host community has been chosen for New Brunswick Day celebrations since 1990.

A number of events are taking place across the province over the holiday weekend – see the list below, and check out our Festivals & Events page to find out about more New Brunswick fun this summer. Visit us on Facebook to get new travel tips and ideas daily.
