Are you a nature lover? Do you enjoy cycling, walking or birdwatching? Looking for a way to take a green vacation and see some scenery at the same time? The Petit-Témis is just the spot for you! This linear park borders the Madawaska River and Lake Temiscouata and continues all the way to the St. Lawrence River, offering a lovely and picturesque route along the way.
Linking the cities of Edmundston and Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, with over more than 130 km (81 miles) of trails, Petit-Témis is the first interprovincial cycling network in Canada. Because the trail was built on an abandoned railway line the grade is never more than 4 per cent, making it easily accessible to all.
Go ahead – take a walking or cycling adventure! You can pause to catch your breath at one of many rest stops along the way and quietly admire the dense forests and waterways that surround you.
A walk or bike ride on the Petit-Témis is an ideal opportunity to discover nearby municipalities while enjoying nature to its fullest!
