New River Beach Provincial Park is home to beaches and coastal trails plentiful with spectacular evidence of the natural formation of the Bay of Fundy’s high tides. During the annual Sand Sculpture event, the serenity ebbs and the sand artists flow in.
Hosted by New Brunswick Provincial Parks Natural Leaders as part of the Get Outside NB! program, the Sand Sculpture Competition is one of the summer’s hottest events. The 2018 edition takes place on Saturday July 7 (rain date July 8 - visit our Facebook page
to stay posted). Participants and onlookers enthusiasm abounds, with 3 top placements in 4 categories: family, adult, youth and group. The scenery is picture perfect, so put your creative skills to the test while beachin’ it under the summer sun. But mind the mighty Fundy tides… they’ll come in and wipe your creation out to sea!
Make a weekend of it and plan to camp at New River Beach Provincial Park campground, which offers both campsites and rustic shelters. Make your online reservations here: https://parcsnbparks.ca/
