“I've been so fortunate to have so many enriching creative experiences over the years but The Ballet Sessions is certainly among the most important for me. This project has given me a whole new perspective on this beautiful province and a renewed appreciation for the art of collaboration.”
- Graeme Walker, Musical Director
Born in Montreal, Stéphanie Audet trained at l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec, performing in the Balanchine repertory and Swan Lake. Stéphanie’s performances with Atlantic Ballet Atlantique Canada have included the part of Simone “Mômone” Berteaut in the Company’s original production of Piaf by Igor Dobrovolskiy, Ghosts of Violence and Phantom of the Opera.
With original songs, a sound that appeals to a wide audience and contagious energy, La Virée makes Acadians, Francophones, Francophiles and Anglophones, too, dance and sing wherever the band goes. Their music shines a light on New Brunswick's Acadian culture and know-how, and brings people together in the best of ways.
La Dune de Bouctouche Beach is located on the site of the Irving Eco-Centre, where a team of interpreters delivers programs and presentations throughout the season to make this coastal habitat known to as many people as possible. Visitors to this area of the New Brunswick coast will find a memorable tourism experience in a unique natural environment.
The town of Bouctouche is steeped in that infectious Acadian joie de vivre that can be experienced at Le Pays de la Sagouine. Foodies will want to catch the Bouctouche Shellfish Festival or browse the treats found at the Bouctouche Farmers’ Market. History buffs can head to nearby Rexton at Bonar Law Common to learn about the life and times of former British Prime Minister Andrew Bonar Law, the only British prime minister born outside the British Isles.
Situated at the mouth of the Bouctouche River and the Atlantic Ocean, Bouctouche is a combination of water and wide-open spaces. It is home to La Dune de Bouctouche, one of the last great sand dunes on the northeastern coastline of North America.
